Alternative Education (AEDY) is a temporary placement for students in grades 6-12 who have been removed from regular education due to disciplinary reasons that result in suspension or expulsion. A hearing will be offered regarding the suspension and need for placement in an AEDY program either within 5 days of the suspension or after placement, if it was deemed necessary to have immediate placement. The AEDY program offers group and individual counseling in addition to academic instruction to address reasons for placement in the program.
