WG Construction built a 120 LF clear span bridge across the Chopawamsic Creek adjacent to the existing Russell Road bridge for NAVFAC in Quantico, VA in 2010. This project was part of a major roadway improvement for the government. WG's scope of work included turn-key construction of the new 120 LF x 48 LF bridge, which was precast bulb tee/cast-in-place concrete bridge deck construction, rehabilitation of the existing bridge, and two modified VDOT RW-3 retaining walls. These critical path work packages were completed in adverse soil and weather conditions and represented critical schedule milestones for the prime contractor.
