Welcome to the Office of Public Health Preparedness at Southwest District Health. Established in 2002, this office addresses public health emergencies ranging from natural disasters to infectious diseases and manmade threats, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents in Southwest Idaho's Adams, Canyon, Gem, Owyhee, Payette, and Washington counties. Working closely with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, the CDC, and other Idaho Public Districts, we develop comprehensive local, regional, and statewide emergency response strategies. Explore our resources on citizen preparedness, public health emergency guidelines, and the Medical Reserve Corps.
